Prof Soborno Isaac Bari’s Kokrajhar visit concludes

KOKRAJHAR, FEB 19: A two-day Kokrajhar visit of the the world’s youngest Professor Soborno Isaac Bari concluded on Monday with interaction program with student fraternities and teachers in Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR).

Prof Bari reached in Kokrajhar,the heart town of Bodoland Territorial Region on Sunday,and was accorded warm welcome and felicitation with traditional Aronai and bouquet by student fraternities and Bodoland University authorities at Bodoland University complex.
Remarkably, a recipient of the ‘Global Child Prodigy Award’ from Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Soborno Isaac Bari is a Bengali-American prodigy.

Soborno Issac Bari got recognition for his talent from former U.S president Obama in 2016, and from Harvard University in 2018.
Prof Bari graced the Bodoland University second edition of Inter College Youth Festival which was organized by the Bodoland University and interacted with students and teachers of different educational institutions from parts of the BTR districts.

Nearly 5000 students, professors and lecturers from different educational institutions participated in the interaction session that gathered a healthy thronging of the participation.

On Monday, Prof Bari participated in another interaction session cum public lecture program organised by department of Education, government of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Chandamari in Kokrajhar.
A good number of participation including students, teachers and citizens from different areas gathered the session,and witnessed the public lecture of Prof Bari.

Addressing the media, Prof Bari said the maths and science are very important in modern world if you want to know what’s going on behind the scenes. He said he is trying to engage in the future generations with regards for raising interest and proper application of maths and science.
Bari makes appearances at universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he teaches both physics and computer science. He has authored the book called ‘The Love’ in which he has tried to demolish the prejudice and hatred that stems out from religious differences and biases.

Attending student fraternities and teachers have expressed their happiness and gladness having witness the public lecture of Prof Bari being held at Bodofa Cultural Complex today in Kokrajhar.They said that the event was an impressive program while getting an opportunity to learn educational knowledge and information about the modern maths and science educational career building up amongst young generations.
