KOKRAJHAR, MAR 30: Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro lid the foundation stone for construction of Community Training Centre on Mushroom Farming for Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development on Thursday here at South Sobaijhar near Haltugaon in Kokrajhar.
The centre has been emphasizing for bringing healthy bridging to improve the livelihood opportunities and boost the local economy of the region in the coming days.
The centre is aimed for focusing in the backward areas of Bodoland region and it’s adjoining areas which was sponsored by north eastern council (NEC), government of India in association with government of BTR. The centre is expected to improve the livelihood opportunities & boost the local economy of the region in days to come.
CEM Pramod Boro said that today is marked a significant milestone by laying the foundation stone for a community training centre on Mushroom farming in Bodoland region.He informed that the initiative is aimed at providing livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities to the residents of backward areas in BTR and adjoining regions of the state of Assam.
He has opined that the training centre establishing initiative is intended to create sustainable employment opportunities for the people in the region and ultimately enhance the economic growth of the area.
" The Community Training Centre, which is being sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC) under the government of India, is expected to provide various training programs and resources to the local communities in mushroom farming and entrepreneurship development",Boro added.
Among others, BTR executive membe, Reo Reoa Narzihary, MCLA Sajal Kumar Singha,vice chancellor of Bodoland University, Prof Laishram Ladu Singh were prominent attendees in the event.
