KOKRAJHAR, NOV 28: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has been gaining up it’s popularity momentum amongst citizens in the entire Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
On Tuesday, more than 2500 peoples from diverse communities, political parties including BPF and other organizations joined UPPL party at a grand joining programme held at Tamulpur.
Amongst the joining program, 170 members from NLFB led by it’s leader B Bokho, and 150 are the ex- caders of NDFB (R) were prominent members who have formally joined UPPL party in the august presence of the chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region and UPPL president, Pramod Boro,Assam cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, deputy CEM Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, party general secretary Raju Kumar Narzary, BTR executive member Ranjit Basumatary, MLA Jolen Daimary,and senior party leaders.
CEM Boro said that the Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR) has chosen peace & progress, and United People’s Party Liberal party as huge numbers of peoples cutting across the communities have joined the party.
He has mentioned that today’s programme is a testament to the trust reposed in the UPPL’s people-centric development agenda, and their firm belief that it is only UPPL which is working for Peace in BTR & the inclusive, holistic welfare of the people across the region.
“It was a delighted moment to be present at the mass joining programme in Tamulpur, where over 2500 peoples joined UPPL, expressing their unwavering faith in our philosophy of peace, equality, justice & prosperity”, Boro added.
