KOKRAJHAR, NOV 15: Along with rest of the state, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was organised at South Kashibari playground under Haloadal VCDC in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday with a day-long programme scheduled.
The event was organised in connection with the observation of birth anniversary of the valiant freedom fighter, Bhagwan Birsa Munda which was organised by district administration of Kokrajhar to make massive ushering of sustainable development to all tribal brethren across the country.
The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Pramod Boro graced the occasion as chief guest and inaugurated the yatra amidst presence of Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA Lawrence Islary who were attended the event as special guests respectively.
Remarkably, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has given the clarion call of a “Viksit Bharat” – a developed India mission across the nation, and accordingly the NDA government at the centre rendering services for all round development of the citizens.
CEM Boro said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra was organised today to recall the contributions and dedication of freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda. He said that today the citizens of the country celebrated the occasion in the name of Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra.
