KOKRAJHAR,NOV 2: Various social and literary organisations representing the Bodo community, including the Bodo Sahitya Sabha(BSS) have extended their hearty welcome and greetings to His Highness King of Royal Government of Bhutan to the land of rising sun, the state of Assam on 3rd & 4th of November ( 2023).
Dr Surath Narzary, the president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha, on Thursday expressed his warm welcome and greetings, on behalf of the Bodos, extends hearty welcome to His Highness King of Royal Government of Bhutan to the land of rising sun, the state of Assam beginning on 3rd November with a day-long programme scheduled.
He said that the Bodos and citizens of Bhutan have strong ties since ages, which has been nurtured by both sides and generously supported by esteemed Kings of Bhutan and successive government of India.
“During the tumultuous phase of history along the India-Bhutan border, the Bodo Sahitya Sabha has been unequivocally and steadfastly stood for peace and harmony thereby made all endeavours to respect the human values and dignity. We are aware about the fact the His Excellency King of Royal Government of Bhutan extended all possible cooperation for a peaceful and mutually benefitting border especially along the borders falling under Bodoland Territorial Region, and subsequently, the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, takes the pleasure of extending warm welcome to His Excellency King of Royal Government of Bhutan to the states of Assam”,he added.
