KOKRAJHAR, NOV 2: The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) hearty welcomes the holistic visit by His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyl Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan to India in the state of Assam scheduled on Friday (3rd November,2023) with a two day’s scheduled.
Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, and UPPL supremo has extended his warm welcome the holistic visit to His Majesty, the King of Bhutan and his Royal family in India, has expressed his hopeful that the holistic visit by His Majesty, the King of Bhutan will usher on strengthening sustain peace and more bilateral ties between India and Bhutan in many aspects, especially in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and Assam state as a whole, the relationship will be deepest in the field of Cooperation, Cultural, Communication.
“The holistic visit by His Majesty,the King of Bhutan will be strengthened the socio-cultural understanding, geographical harmony between two nations and its neighbouring communities”, Boro said.
In a press statement, Raju Kumar Narzary, the general secretary of the ruling UPPL party said that the party takes the pleasure of joining the nation in extending warm welcome to His Majesty King of Royal Government of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and his royal family to the state of Assam on 3rd and 4th of November 2023.
The people of Assam, especially Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR ) have strong, harmonious and mutually benefitting ties with the citizens of Bhutan, which has been fully backed by His Excellency Kings of Bhutan and successive Government in India.
The UPPL being part of the NDA government, in BTR, Assam and in India, it is fully committed for strengthening the people to people ties in all spheres of human life.
“During the tumultuous phase of history along the India-Bhutan border, the UPPL has steadfastly stood for harmonious and mutually respectful border along the Bodoland Territorial Region. We really appreciate the fact that His Excellency Kings of Royal Government of Bhutan and successive Governments in India, have made joint efforts to secure peaceful and mutually cooperative border along the Bhutan-Assam border resulting in fruition of present of state of absolute peace on both sides of the border”,he said.
