Social worker Pradip Kumar Brahma passes

KOKRAJHAR, OCT 19: Pradip Kumar Brahma, popularly known as Mikir Brahma, noted social activist passed away early this morning at his South Sukhanjhora residence in Kokrajhar.

Brahma, faced a heart stroke on Tuesday evening, and immediately rusted at a private hospital in Siliguri of West Bengal and breathed his last around 2.30 am morning today.

Brahma was a well-known social worker and priest of Sri Sri Aryarishi Sanathan Dharma in the area. He was former Gaonburah of South Sukhanjhora village.
He was also involved as teacher (venture) at Gopinathpur ME School, and contributed a lot towards the uplift of the education field in the greater Sukhanjhora area.
He was also associated with social organisations including culture, literary till date.
He was about 55.

Peoples cutting across the communities from the area have thronged the residence of Brahma, and paid floral tribute as last respect to him.
The funeral of Brahma was performed at the village graveyard after performing rituals.

The Sukhanjhora primary committee of UPPL party, and various organisations have extended their deep mourning and condolences to the bereaved family members on the demise of Pradip Kumar Brahma.
