KOKRAJHAR, SEP 21: Biswajit Daimary, the speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly today visited Kokrajhar and held a meeting to review the preparation & arrangements for holding the winter session of the Assam Legislative Assembly at Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA) House in Kokrajhar to be held in December.
Speaker Biswajit Daimary, was accompanied by Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly(BTCLA), speaker, Katiram Boro, Sidli MLA Joyanta Basumatary and other officials from Assam Assembly and held a meeting with the officials of various departments, heads of educational institutions and district administration to ensure a smooth and well-organized session with necessary arrangements including accommodations.
Daimary also inspected the BTC Legislative Assembly House for restructuring of the Assembly sitting arrangement to accommodate 126 MLAs. The speaker later participated in a law and order meeting with district administration and police administration.
Speaker Daimary said that he reviewed about the preparation and arrangements for holding the winter session of Assam assembly in Kokrajhar in December of this 2023 itself. He said that the Assam assembly team, officials as well Assembly members are coming to Kokrajhar to attend the winter session and subsequent necessary preparation and arrangements would be completed within the stipulated time to meet a smooth success of the session.
He informed that the Assam assembly’s winter session is going to held out of Assam Assembly house for the first in Kokrajhar which would be an attractive and beautiful occasion for the citizens of Bodoland Territorial Region districts.
