KOKRAJHAR, AUG 6: Two persons namely Pinku Roy( 23), son of Siren Roy and Kaushik Mandal, son of Nimai Mandal, both of Magurmari, involved in a moral police incident, were arrested today.
The incident took place at Magurmari under Kokrajhar police station on 3 August, in which two innocent villagers were brutally assaulted.
The two were arrested in connection with Kokrajhar PS case no 270/2023 U/S 143/341/342/386/325/307 IPC.
Three others including the main accused Rajat Mandal are absconding till filling of this report.
Police administration has been stepping strong initiative with thorough investigation against the incident.
Meanwhile, various social organisation and students unions have demanded a strict step against the incident and punished the involved culprits.
The social organisations condemned the incident and urged the district administration for taking a stern action into the incident.
