KOKRAJHAR, AUG 6: The ruling United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) organised a grand public rally on Sunday in connection with celebration of party’s 8th foundation day being held at Bijni district sport’s association (BDSA) playground in Chirang district.
The mammoth gathering witnessed a huge turn of over 30,000 thousand participation of party leaders, members and well-wishers from different parts of Chirang district and it’s adjoining areas.
During the rally, more than 400 new members from different parties joined the UPPL party amidst presence of UPPL party leaders.
AGP president and Assam cabinet minister Atul Bora graced the occasion as the chief guest. He said that the people of BTR were now marching ahead in an astounding speed in the path of sustainable development, peace and prosperity under the youthful and dynamic leadership of UPPL president Pramod Boro. He said, “We (the BJP-AGP-UPPL alliance) are intact in spirit and in work. We are committed to bring all-round development for all communities and sections of the society in Assam.”
The UPPL supremo chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro expressed his thankfulness that the largest political party in the world Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has patronized and guided the present government led by UPPL in development activities of BTR. He also thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, Karmayogi
Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Assam Pradesh BJP President Bhabesh Kalita for the continued support received.
He said, “The mammoth gathering stands as a testament to our Party’s immense popularity among the masses. It reflects the unwavering faith and believe they have invested in our ability to deliver on our promises. The resounding love and support for our Party only strengthen our resolve to work even more determinedly towards pushing forward our agenda of progress, peace and development.”
Thanking the large gathering, he added, “We pledge to continue serving the people of BTR with the same vigour, dedication and spirit in the days to come. We are fully confident and hopeful that beloved citizens of BTR and Assam will continue to give their blessings and opportunities to serve them to the best of our capacities.”
He said that the UPPL party has been emphasizing for establishing sustainable peace and happiness of all the people of BTR and kick starting sustainable socio-economic development by uprooting menace of corruption became the prime focused agenda.
“The UPPL is working with for resolving long pending land issue by giving land rights to all bonafide citizens of BTR, equal justice and developmental aspirations for unity and integrity in the society”, Boro said adding that UPPL party workers are duty bound to ensure permanent peace, justice for all and rapid sustainable socio-economic development Bodoland Territorial Region and beyond.
While addressing the gathering, Founding president of the UPPL and cabinet minister of Assam Urkhao Gwra Brahma said, “The UPPL has ensured a new epoch in the history of Bodoland. Our Party has worked to bring sustainable peace in the region.”
