KOKRAJHAR,MAR 12: The 9th annual conference of Dularai Gudi Bathou Afad (DGBA) was concluded on Sunday with a three day colourful programme scheduled held at Maidangshri Fwthar,Banargaon in Kokrajhar district.
The annual conference of the Laimwn Afad,Mainao Afad and Bathou Oja Afad and 32nd annual conference of Kokrajhar district committee of Dularai Gudi Bathou Afad and 34th annual conference of Elaishreejhar Biyab Dularai Gudi Bathou Afad was also held. During the conference,the Dularai Gudi Bathou Afad discussed thoroughly on the uplift and development of Gudi Bathou religion across the world.
Assam cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma graced as chief guest on the open session of the conference.
Brahma said that the Gudi Bathou religion is the aboriginal religion of the Bodos since forefathers. He said that the Bathou religion is the identity of the Bodos. He has opined for more ushering and development of the Bathou religion in days to come.
Chief executive member of Bodo Kochary Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC),Mihiniswar Basumatary,BTR executive member Ukil Mushahary, BKWAC executive member Anil Basumatary, MLA Lawrence Islary,Dularai Gudi Bathou Afad adviser Songraja Narzary were prominent attendees in the open session.
Need to be mentioned that several thousand delegates from different districts of the state of Assam, state committees including West Bengal, Nagaland and delegates from Nepal & Bangladesh were also attended the conference. The conference saw an attractive of huge participation and showcased colorful programmes.
