BTR CEM Pramod Boro lays foundation stone
KOKRAJHAR,DEC 9: The 64th annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (Boro Thunlai Afad) is taking place at Dwimu Nwgwr,Dimakuchi in Udalguri district with four-day colourful programme scheduled, beginning from January 9,2025.
The annual conference of the sabha will witness various programmes including seminar on literary, cultural, language development as well social integration across the communities.
A strong reception committee has been formed with Biswajit Daimary, speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly as chairman, Daobaisa Boro, BTR executive member as working president and Jwosrang Boro as chief convenor for smooth conduct of the conference. Several sub-committees were also formed for the conference.
A massive prepration and arrangements are getting underway to host the Bodo Sahitya Sabha conference.
On Monday, Pramod Boro, the chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), laid the foundation stone for the construction of the auditorium of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha annual conference scheduled to be held at the Dwimu Nwgwr in Udalguri district.
During the event, Assam Legislative Assembly speaker, Biswajit Daimary, Bodo Sahitya Sabha president, Dr Surath Narzary, ABSU president Dipen Boro, BTR executive member, Daobaisa Boro were present.
CEM Boro stated that the Bodo Sahitya Sabha is an apex body of the Bodo community which has been playing a pivotal role in preserving & promoting Bodo literary & cultural heritage.He has extended his best wishes to the organisers and Bodo Sahitya Sabha for a successful & grand event scheduled to be held second week of January next.He said that the annual conference of the sahitya sabha will be withessesd a multi cultural program and literary events with showcasing uplift of language and literatures.
