3028 landless people receive land entitlement certificates in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, JULY 21: A total of 3028 beneficiaries have received Land entitlement certificates under the Forest Rights Act 2006(FRA 2006) who are forest dwellers.

A ceremonial distribution of land entitlement certificates was held at Koilamoila under Nichima constituency of Chirang district in Bodoland Territorial Region.The event was organised by the department of Land and Revenue, Govt of BTR.

The executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Ranjit Basumatary, Sidli MLA, Nirmal Kumar Brahma, and several distinguished dignitaries were present in the event and distributed the certificates among the beneficiaries.

Remarkably, the government of BTR under the able leadership of Pramod Boro,the CEM of BTR has so far resolved more than 3 lakh cases of land related issues since it’s inception in the reign in BTR. Several thousand peoples cutting across the communities have received land entitlement certificates till date.

EM Basumatary told that the Land and Revenue department is committed for providing land pattas to the landless peoples across the region.

CEM of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro told that 3,028 land titles distributed in 16 No. Nichima Constituency of Chirang district.He stated that the land tittles distribution is 
a major step forward under the Mission Bwiswmuthi to ensure land security for the landless.
