3 withdrawn nominations in Kokrajhar LS constituency

KOKRAJHAR, APRIL 22: Three candidates have been withdrawn their nomination papers for contesting the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency in the scheduled Parliamentary elections on 7th May.

With the withdrawal of three candidates from the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha,12 candidates are in fray to contest in the Lok Sabha elections from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.
Remarkably,there were 16 candidates filed nominations for Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency, and sitting MP Naba Kumar Sarania’s candidature was rejected by the returning officer due to invalid ST caste certificate.

Today was the last day of withdrawal of the nomination, three have withdrawn their nomination papers, out of the 15 candidates,and now 12 candidates are in fray to contest the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.
The candidates who have withdrawn their nomination are included Sailendra Nath Brahma (Independent),Nandadev Brahma (Independent) and Ghanashyam Das (GSP).

The prominent candidates who are in fray to contest the upcoming Parliamentary elections from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency are included Joyanta Basumatary (NDA),Kampa Borgoyary (BPF),Binita Deka (GSP), Ranjay Kumar Brahma (Independent).
Notably,a total of 14.70 voters will franchise their democratic voting rights on 7th May under Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.

Meanwhile, Joyanta Basumatary, NDA candidate has expressed his confident that he is getting last laugh from the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency.He said that peoples cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support and voting in favour of NDA alliance candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.He said that he said that NDA alliance government in Bodoland Territorial Region and state governments are working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the common masses since it’s inception to the reign.He said that NDA alliance is winning more than 400 seats across the country to make third consecutive term of NDA alliance government at the centre under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, and UPPL president, Pramod Boro said that the NDA alliance candidates in the state of Assam are winning more than 12 seats including Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituencies.He said that people choose the NDA alliance,and accordingly NDA candidates are getting majority support of the citizens across the state.
He said that the BTR government under the NDA alliance is committed to work for all round development and welfare of the society.
