2 Bodo writers win Sahitya Akademi award

KOKRAJHAR, JUNE 23: It is laurel moment for the region as two Bodo writers in the state have been named for Sahitya Akademi award 2023 for Children along with other authors of the country.

Noted writer of Kokrajhar town, Pratima Nandi Narzary is named for the award for her short story collection book ‘Gosaini Gwjwn Nwjwr‘.
While Mainaosri Daimary won the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2023 for her poetry book ‘ Som, Jiu, Arw..’

Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Dr Surath Narzary extended his warm congratulations to the Bodo writers who have been named for the Sahitya Akademi award in Bodo language, said that it is a glad moment for the Bodo community and language that two noted writers won akademi awards. He said that the Bodo writer’s akademi award winning are sending message of uplift and development of Bodo literature and language. He said that the Bodo Sahitya Sabha is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the Bodo language and literature since it’s inception.

Chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro while expressing hearty congratulations to all the writers who are won akademi award across the state including Bodo language, said that award winning message will encourage the writers to create more literary in days to come.
” We are very much happy with the information of two Bodo writers named for the Sahitya Akademi award in Bodo language”, Boro added.
ABSU president Dipen Boro also extends his hearty congratulations to the writers for winning the Sahitya Akademi award.
